Cantrell CPA Services, LLC was formed in May 2007 to offer a broad range of CPA services. These areas include accounting software installation and support, tax preparation and consulting, bookkeeping services, payroll preparation and reporting services, financial statement preparation and analysis, Medicare cost reporting, construction project and grant accounting, accounting system creation and review services, various management advisory and consulting services, consulting services for government and non-profit clients, and contract CFO duties. The firm also offers training seminars for QuickBooks.
The firm's sole owner is Chip Cantrell, CPA. Chip graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1992 with a bachelors degree in accounting. He has over 16 year of experience in public and private accounting. He has served as CFO and Chief Accountant in industry and governmental entities. This experience has been extremely valuable for Chip is serving his public accounting clients. It has given him a unique understanding of the day-to-day issues and concerns of accounting professionals working in a wide range of industries.
Chip is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA), the Society of Louisiana CPA's, the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), and the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA). Chip is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP), and Certified Pro Advisor for QuickBooks 2008.
Chip has served as an instructor for the Louisiana Chapter of the HFMA for training seminars in preparation for the testing involved with the CHFP certification. Chip also provides QuickBooks training sessions for various businesses.
Chip resides with his wife Alice and their five children in Kaplan, Louisiana.
